”INSIGHT" (觀) is an artistic project developed by XTRUX, a new media art team. Drawing inspiration from the traditional folk belief of "Guan Luo Yin" (觀落陰) (Observing Spirits), this project explores the convergence of virtual reality and spiritual connections.

During the ritualistic process of "Guan Luo Yin" (觀落陰) the connection between the medium and the blindfolded participants fascinated the creative team. The project captures the essence of this intriguing connection, which exists within consciousness and gradually constructs immersive scenes. By starting with a void and utilizing guided sounds, the project seeks to experiment with the reverse immersion process in virtual scene construction, allowing participants to become part of the unfolding virtual reality.

Collaborating with sound artist 晟SHENG, known for his fusion of Taiwanese traditional instruments, environmental sounds, and field recordings with digital music techniques, “INSIGHT” creates a unique sonic landscape. Blending Eastern and Western perspectives, the project breaks new ground and pushes the boundaries of sound and visual exploration.
